Burton A. Warner (June 2, 1917 - August 12, 2009) was a resident of Newington, Connecticut, and an employee of Hartford Electric Light.

Warner was born on June 2, 1917 in the Elmwood section of West Hartford, Connecticut, as the son of Lucius C. Warner and Louise Matatall. He grew up at 694 Flatbush Avenue, and attended and graduated from William H. Hall High School in West Hartford in 1935. After high school, he enlisted in the Army that October, but remained at home during the 1930s, moving around a lot throughout West Hartford.

He served ten years in the Army and was a proud World War II veteran as a Staff Sergeant. He moved to Newington, Connecticut, after the war and worked at Hartford Electric Light as a shift supervisor, starting in 1945 after the war ended. He also became a member of the West Hartford Squires. He retired from Hartford Electric Light in 1981. In retirement, he learned to golf and enjoyed traveling with his wife.

On August 12, 2009, Warner died at Avery Heights in Hartford, Connecticut, at the age of 92.

Family[]

Warner married Marjorie E. Jones on September 12, 1944 after he returned overseas from World War II. The ceremony took place at 4:00 pm in St. James's Episcopal Church on Zion Street in Hartford, Connecticut.
