John Stone (1854 - August 29, 1935) was an English immigrant to Hartford, Connecticut, a carpenter, and the father-in-law of Grace Tourtellette, a descendant of the French Huguenot family. Stone was born in 1854 in England and migrated to Hartford, Connecticut in 1906 with his family. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He married Mary Willmott in the 1870's.

He lived at 28 Bond Street in Hartford until his death on August 29, 1935, leaving his brothers - Jesse E. Stone of Hartford and Benjamin Stone of England. He was buried at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
