Joyce Cadwell (1926 - December 1, 2002) was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and a longtime resident of Clinton, Connecticut. She was born in 1926 to Earl John Cadwell and Marion Heath; she was also the niece of Wallace B. Goodwin, a prominent West Hartford real estate developer, and granddaughter of Civil War veteran John P. Cadwell. She married Robert T. Lang and the couple had two sons.
She worked at the Westbrook Lobster Company and The Shoreline Lobster Company, both in Westbrook, Connecticut. In February 2002, her husband passed away. On December 1, 2002, she died at her home on Captains Walk in Clinton, Connecticut, at the age of 76.
