Mary Goodwin.

Mary Goodwin (March 24, 1901 - April 11, 1950) was a resident of Hartford, Connecticut, and Los Angeles, California, and a staff member of the Hartford Times. She was also the founder and operator of the Williamstown, Massachusetts bookstore.

Goodwin was born on March 24, 1901 in Nashua, New Hampshire as the daughter of James Goodwin and Frances Whittlesey Brown. She received her early education in Hartford, Connecticut, and was graduated from Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. After leaving school, she lived for a short time in Boston, Massachusetts, after returning to Hartford to join the staff of the Hartford Times, where she met her first husband. After her first marriage in 1924, she lived in Paris, France for a while before returning to the United States to found and operate the Williamstown bookstore in Massachusetts. Later, they owned a bookstore in New York City.

On April 11, 1950, Goodwin died at her home in Los Angeles, California, after three months of an illness.
