Richard Cone Maercklein (March 28, 1890 - October 19, 1981) was the chief underwriter for Phoenix Fire Insurance Company and a citizen of West Hartford, Connecticut.
Maercklein was born on March 28, 1890 as the son of Herman J. Maercklein and Alice Crane in Hartford, Connecticut. He grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut, and was a member of the Founders of Hartford, the Mayflower Society, the Sons of the American Revolution, and was a charter member of the Hartford Tennis Club in 1937. He was a vestryman of Trinity Episcopal Church in Hartford. After the death of his wife in 1968, he moved to Chester, Connecticut at 132 Main Street.
Maercklein died in Chester on October 19, 1981.
Maercklein married Margaret Goodwin in October 1916. The couple lived at 478 Mountain Road in West Hartford, Connecticut.
