Simeon Seeley Batterson (1797 - December 5, 1870) was a businessman with his son in the manufacture of tombstones, monuments, and sculptures in marble for all parts of the United States.

Batterson was born in 1797 as the son of George Batterson, Jr. and Mary Seeley, the daughter of Samuel and Roxanna Roberts, of Weston, Connecticut. He married Melissa Roberts of Bloomfield on May 28, 1820. The couple had twelve children between 1821 and 1846.

On December 5, 1870, Batterson died at the age of 73.
